Harmony and Hope Animal Rescue will consider adoptive families across the entirety of New Zealand. Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the Animal's background and your family's needs. Every Animal is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right Animal with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet's permanent home.
We appreciate you wanting to bring a Animal into your home. In order for us to find the right pet for you, we need you to submit an adoption application.
We will review your application upon receipt. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for clarity.
Once your application review is complete, a Harmony and Hope Animal Rescue volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit if you are immediately local, or we will ask you to send some detailed photos or a video of your property. We will be looking for potential hazards for the Animal, and property size/fencing.
Once your application review is complete, a Harmony and Hope Animal Rescue volunteer will give your contact details to the relevant fosterer of the animal(s) you are interested in.
You will be required to discuss the animal with their foster carer to assess suitability, and also to give you the opportunity to learn more intimate details about the animal.
Once approved by Harmony and Hope Animal Rescue and their fosterer, you will be able to schedule a time to meet your chosen animal in person. If this goes well we will confirm the adoption from here.
If you are not immeditely local and will be adopting from a distance and using Pet Transport you will be required to video call with the fosterer.
